I’m sorry to say there were quite a lot of things that bugged me. First of all, as it is visible on the room pages, the rooms are old fashioned which normally adds a nice atmosphere, however, once we went in we noticed the floors were creaking, there were holders on the walls for the curtains but they were unstable or falling off. These weren’t that big of a deal though.
The thing that annoyed me the most was the elevator. I’ve never seen an elevator so small. As people are traveling it’s normal for them to have big luggages. We could barely fit a person and two big suitcases and the elevator was completely full. It would’ve been passable if the elevator was fast but it was unfortunate also slow. The worst timing to use the elevator was right after 9 ish, because the cleaning was being done and it would take 5 minutes for the elevator to be free to be used.
As I’ve mentioned we had bought breakfast, we only ate for the first day (we stayed for 4 nights) and noticed that the croissants were bad. Like not even tolerable, and in France, where croissants are one of the signatures, it was a disappointment. I’ve later on learned that it is normal for hotels to not have good croissants (?), but nevertheless I wanted to mention it. The other 3 breakfasts were then refunded when we asked for the second time. (We had to ask twice) [Of course, you can go out and buy from a bakery. A breakfast is not worth it in the hotel]. Most of the food was packaged (cheese, yogurt, fruit yogurt and such things). Other than that the orange juice and the coffee were pretty good.
We had two rooms, the same ones, and one of them was on the upper floor and had a small balcony, which was pretty cause it had a nice view. One other thing, some of the doors, one of the rooms and the elevator door in one of the floors needed extra work to be put in to be opened. Like we had to put in effort to keep them open. It was hard to move in such small corridors with luggage and also have to keep the door open with great effort.
