My daughter and I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Hotel de la Porte Doree! Although the hotel is not in the city center, the metro line 8 is literally right in front of the building, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. The hotel itself was spotless, and the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The breakfast is organic, delicious, and a great way to start each day.
The staff were truly exceptional, and I want to give a special thanks to Yacine and Gopi, who made us feel extra special with their kindness and professionalism. Their friendly and polite service made a huge difference and really enhanced our experience. The bed and pillows are super comfortable, the best I have ever tried.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. Excellent service and a truly wonderful stay!

Das Hotel Porte Dorée in Paris ist ein echter Geheimtipp! Die Zimmer sind gemütlich eingerichtet und versprühen diesen ganz besonderen Pariser Charme – genau das, was man sich für einen Aufenthalt in der Stadt der Liebe wünscht. Besonders angenehm fand ich die kleine, aber feine Frühstücksauswahl: Alles vegetarisch, mit frischem Orangensaft und liebevoll zubereitet. Super war auch die Hafermilch, die sogar direkt auf dem Zimmer zur Verfügung stand – ein schönes Detail, das zeigt, wie durchdacht das Konzept ist.
Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: Der Preis ist etwas hoch angesetzt. Dafür ziehe ich einen Stern ab. Trotzdem: Wer auf der Suche nach einem charmanten, nachhaltigen Hotel in Paris ist, wird sich hier sehr wohlfühlen. Ich komme gerne wieder!

toujours un plaisir de revenir ! tant pour l'équipe, que pour le lieu chargé d'histoires, le décor qui change régulièrement et les mille détails amusants… j'apprécie bcp la bilbiothèque !

I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in/out smooth. The location was convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

Now to the part that makes me will never come back again, which is also the most important function of a hotel: REST. As I mentioned before there is subway right down. Which also means you can hear and feel train passing every now and then, especially at night. Understandably that the hotel doesn’t have control over this, but what they can do is to at least put some signs in the staircase or in the hall way to tell guest to keep it quiet! My room was located right by the staircase so every night when there are people coming back and walking on the stairs I can hear them very clearly, stepping on the old crunchy squeaky stairs. There are also people who probably drunk too much and start to sign/scream or talking very loudly to their group. I usually sleep around 11/12pm, and not surprisingly a lot of guest come back around 1-3AM. I’m not even a light sleeper but I got waked up by these noises many times per night and it’s hard to get back to sleep afterwards.So make sure to prepare yourself to have a lot of sleepless nights staying here!
