Nous sommes venus ce dimanche soir, partager un repas aux saveurs asiatiques. Le service était d’une qualité exceptionnelle ! Le serveur et le cuisinier étaient serviables, souriants, disponibles et de très bon conseil quant au choix des plats ; c’est vraiment agréable de se sentir chouchouté lorsque l’on vient dans son restaurant de quartier. Les plats, eux, étaient plein de saveurs, très bons et fidèles aux promesses. Je recommande !

As Malaysians and Singaporeans living abroad, we were excited to try this place with high hopes for authentic SG/MY flavours. While the restaurant clearly puts effort into presentation and offers a creative take on Asian cuisine, we left feeling a little disappointed when it came to authenticity.

Teh Tarik: Unfortunately, this didn’t taste like the teh tarik we’re familiar with. It had an unusual taste that felt quite far from the basic teh tarik we expected.

Chicken Rice:
• The rice was well-cooked and fragrant — definitely the highlight of the dish.
• The poached chicken was dry and lacked seasoning.
• The sauce was overly sweet and didn’t complement the chicken well.
• The addition of a soft-boiled egg felt wrong and the yolk didn’t integrate well with the overall flavour.

Nasi Lemak:
• The sambal and fried chicken were well done and tasted great.
• The rice, however, lacked the signature coconut aroma that’s central to nasi lemak.
• Again, the soft-boiled egg felt mismatched. A hard-boiled or fried egg would be more typical and complementary.

Overall: It seems the restaurant is presenting a possibly French-influenced interpretation of Southeast Asian dishes, those looking for traditional Singaporean or Malaysian flavours might not find the authenticity when compared with other SG/MY restaurant in London or Berlin.

We appreciate the effort and friendly service, and hope the restaurant continues to evolve!

Love love love the Singapore chicken rice! But unfortunately the fried chicken was a bit disappointing for me since it’s not marinated well to my taste. But their service was top notch, very kind servers.

I tried the chicken satay, teh tarik, and pandan chiffon cake. The food was overall delicious, and the service was excellent. As a Singaporean, the flavors were pleasantly close to what I’m used to back home. I noticed many people ordering the chicken rice, so I’m definitely planning to try that on my next visit.

I had the Chicken Hainan Rice at The Hood Paris, and it truly felt like being back home in Asia. The flavors were authentic, comforting, and full of heart. A special shoutout to Zaika, our server, who was incredibly warm and welcoming, he made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving real Asian comfort food in Paris!

Only good things to say about The Hood! I’ve been here twice now and every dish is flavorful and presented beautifully. My kids love it too. Make sure to buy some homemade sriracha sauce! Thanks The Hood Paris!
