Très bel hôtel et très bien situé

Let me start on a positive note. We ate breakfast in the hotel dining room every morning, and Leo and Patrick were so friendly and helpful. They always greeted us with a smile. They represent the epitome of good service to the hotel's guests. However, we did have some issues with the hotel. First, our room was not ready when we arrived, and it took all day to get one. After a long flight from the US, it would have been wonderful to have a room to rest and recharge. Second, our room had an awful smell, which may have come from the sewer. We did contact the hotel manager, who offered to use a ventilator fan in the room, but the smell had gone away by then, only to return the next day. Others in our group said they also had an awful smell in their rooms.

Leuk verblijf maar bij aankomst vraagt men uw creditcard en wordt een borg geblokkeerd voor hetzelfde bedrag als uw verblijf kost. Bij het uitchecken betaald u dan het bedrag maar blijft uw gereserveerde bedrag nog 1 maand geblokkeerd . Hierdoor is uw creditcard tweemaal gedebiteerd wat het gebruik ervan bemoeilijkt . Dus eigenlijk geen correcte policy van het hotel

At first when you are being taken to the hotel you will say to yourself "oh my god, where am I staying and will we be safe". That was our initial thought. But, this hotel and the area is very safe. Looks are deceiving. We had no issues walking around, which we did from the morning to at least 10pm. The local bars a few feet away on the corner are a comfortable place to sit and have a beer as the hotels bar always seemed to be closed whenever we wanted to have a drink. The rooms were very comfortable and the only sounds we heard was when the person who stayed in the room.next to us came and went as their door was directly next to ours so it sounded as if they were coming into our room. The breakfast was excellent, either pay for it or do an upgrade to get it for free as it is worth it. Overall a wonderful experience and we would definitely return.
