First, the service was lacklustre. The pacing between courses was painfully slow, and when the food finally did arrive, the explanations were rushed and uninformative.
To make matters worse, one of my friends found a *piece of plastic* in his dish. While they replaced the dish and offered a complimentary cheese platter, the gesture felt more like damage control than genuine hospitality.
The atmosphere was equally uninspired. The room felt drab and stiff, mirroring the demeanor of the staff, who seemed awkward and overly formal.
As for the food: underwhelming. Of the six courses, two featured raw fish — a lack of variety that felt lazy rather than intentional, especially for a 150-euro-per-person menu. The artichoke dish was bland, the asparagus equally forgettable. The main course, a small but well-cooked piece of duck, was the one highlight — tender, rich, and full of flavour — but far too small to redeem the rest of the meal.
We left hungry and disappointed, wishing we’d stopped at one of the many charming bistros we passed on our way home.
Mediocrity wrapped in formality.
