Le Tagine was the perfect spot for dinner on our family trip to Paris. They were warm and welcoming and very helpful in picking out a variety of dishes for us to sample. Everything was delicious…particularly loved the couscous with vegetables and the tagine of lamb with peas and artichoke hearts. Our party included vegetarians, and there were good options for them. Definitely have the mint tea with dessert.

This place was such a letdown. It presents itself as a Moroccan restaurant, but it’s owned and run by a French woman, and the whole experience felt more money-oriented than hospitality-driven. Overpriced, unfriendly, and far from clean — better to spend your money elsewhere.

Ordered the season special lamb tangine with dates. The dish was simply too sweet and the lamb was tasteless.

Avoid ordering the mint tea. They charge 8 euro per cup. Seems a bit excessive and felt like a cash grab because the tea is not listed on the menu. Also the tea was filled with too much sugar making it almost undrinkable.

Many better North African restaurants in the area. Timeout and Eater failed on this review and/or the restaurant lowered its standards upon receiving perpetual great publicity knowing there will always be a bevy of customers. Would avoid this establishment.

We were really looking forward to trying this Moroccan restaurant, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. First, we were charged 16 euros for two glasses of mint tea — 8 euros each, not listed on the menu, and honestly just basic tea.

When we tried to order two lamb tagines, the French lady running the place insisted we get one couscous and one tangine. She gave us unnecessary attitude for simply wanting what we liked — it felt controlling and unprofessional.

The service was also extremely slow, and we had to wait a long time for everything. On top of that, we noticed one of the cooks — who didn’t appear to follow proper hygiene — was literally picking his nose in the kitchen. Completely unacceptable.

Overall, the food was overpriced, the atmosphere was tense, and it’s not even run by Moroccans. If you’re looking for authentic Moroccan cuisine and a clean, respectful experience, I highly recommend avoiding this place.

Nous avons essayé ce restaurant suite à la recommandation d’Yves Camdebordes, nous avons été deçus…Couscous ayant bien peu de goût, où etaient les epices parfumées dans le bouillon aqueux? les tables étant très remplies de touristes, nous avons supposé que ce restaurant vit sur un acquis de recommandations de guides ou d’amis complaisants, dommage…le cadre et le service sont neamoins agréables ????

Très déçu par le restaurant alors que j’y ai déjà été à plusieurs reprises. J’avais choisi cette fois le couscous méchoui. La viande était préalablement cuite et réchauffée. La viande n’était pas chaude et de surcroît très dure. Quant aux légumes, ils avaient le goût de légumes réchauffés dont le goût est passé. Le service était à la limite de la politesse. Franchement, grosse déception. Un établissement qui se revendique une histoire de qualité doit y veiller en permanence.

My family had a wonderful meal. The owner was gracious to find us a table without a reservation on a Saturday evening even though it was clear they were going to be full based on the line outside. The staff was helpful, friendly, efficient, and the food was outstanding. A great overall dining experience in Paris.

J'adore ce restaurant, les plats sont tout simplement délicieux et la carte varie très souvent suivant la saison . Il faut réserver car c'est très souvent plein.

Small restaurant and nice ambiance. Nice people but somewhat slow service when all the tables are full.

The entrees were large portions and the couscous was fun to mix yourself.

The clientele was not hipsters and they also have large front sliding door/windows.

Der Besuch im Restaurant Le Tagine im Rahmen unseres Urlaubs in Paris war fabelhaft. Man fühlt sich sofort wie im Marokko. Sehr herzliche Gastgeber, mam fühlt sich sofort sehr woh. Da wir unlängst in Marrakesch waren, kamen ob des exzellenten Essens - absolut authentisch, hervorragende Vorspeisen, Couscous und Tajines - und des reizenden Services sofort Erinnerungen an Marrakesch. Mitten in Paris. Weinbegleitung und Dessert waren ebenfalls hervorragend.
Reservierung lohnt sich! Es war sehr voll.
Wir bedanken uns und können einen Besuch nur empfehlen. Es war wunderbar. Merci beaucoup!

Accueil bizarroïde presque désagréable.
Nous avons pris le couscous royal ; les viandes étaient très bonnes.
Cela ne justifie tout de même pas les prix exorbitants du restaurant. Les vins sont également hors de prix.

A tenter si vous avez faim de couscous dans le quartier mais il y a mieux et moins, beaucoup moins cher.

Nourriture peu authentique (pour y être allé accompagné d'une Marocaine), pain rationné et de qualité médiocre (du surgelé?), verre de vin à 12e qu'on ne fait pas goûter au client, tagines peu copieuses, entrée à 15e. Ce restau est sur la mauvaise pente.
