Better than expected. The cozy room was bigger than the pictures. The room was clean(no bugs) as per that review in March which made me nervous. The front desk staff are helpful. If you are a large person the shower will be an issue. Even though I am small it was hard to use. I did not eat their breakfast so can not comment. The hotel is a block away from gate du nord and two blocks from gate l’est. use gate d’lest whenever possible as it’s not as busy.

The a/c is seasonal, meaning that even though it is hot, upper 70sF, if it is April 28 then no a/c! We had to keep our windows all night open to get marginally cooler. The 7th floor has a beautiful view of Sacre Coure, a half view of the Eiffel Tower, and a partial, small view of Notre Dame: That was nice! The mattress cover came up on the left side of the bed exposing the mattress while I was sleeping. It is close to some restaurants but incredibly busy roads. If you need to be by Gard du Nord for a night it will do. The person behind the counter is very nice!!

After searching for a hotel with good ratings, close to the train station, and something that was affordable, I booked two nights at the Libertel.|We arrived by train at Gare du Nord. The hotel is a five minute walk and easy to find.|We were greeted by the friendly receptionist and the check-in process was easy. The elevator is small, but we fit two people, two large suitcases and two backpacks at once. And it’s so much easier than climbing the stairs.|The room was small, but cozy, clean and quiet. The hotel staff were very friendly. On the day we checked out, we were able to store our luggage and the staff called a taxi for us and made the transportation to the airport very easy.|We had a great experience staying at the Libertel.|The Louvre is about a half an hour walk. There are many great restaurants, shops, and patisserie’s close by. For people who rather utilize public transportation, not a problem because busses, metro, and train stations are all within a short walking distance.|Thank you for a great stay.
