The food, lively ambiance, and service at Vivant were wonderful. Unfussy, but definitely not unsophisticated.

I was dining solo and was made to feel very welcome. The staff and servers were lovely, taking the time to explain the menu to me and check in on me throughout my meal. I had the sweetbreads, as suggested by my server, for my main and was not disappointed, probably the best I have ever had.

Since I was seated at the counter, I got to see the chefs and staff at work. Their kitchen is not large, but the quality of food and level of service speak for themselves, an impressive accomplishment. A big kudos to the team at Vivant.

I look forward to returning the next time I am in Paris.

Mi sono recato a Vivant 2 con la mia ragazza per una serata speciale, il ristorante ha un clima molto intimo per la piccola quantità di tavoli. Eravamo seduti di fronte agli chef e abbiamo potuto osservare ogni loro mossa nella preparazione dei nostri piatti.
L’atmosfera intima contrastava in modo piacevole con la musica che spaziava dal rock ai grandi classici del pop italiano anni 70.
Il cibo era squisito, piatti ben bilanciati e con sapori sorprendenti, porzioni generose e opzioni per tutti i gusti, dalle animelle ai piatti interamente vegetali.
Ottima selezione di vini e un contesto difficile da dimenticare.
Unica nota vagamente negativa la regola imposta dal ristorante di consumare obbligatoriamente due piatti principali, cosa che influisce sulla condivisione con una persona e sul prezzo totale ovviamente.
Consigliato per una cena intima e stravagante in cerca di sapori nuovi.

Le Vivant Deux est une très belle découverte. Les plats sont délicieux, avec des accords très originaux. Carte de vins très ample et très bon conseil de la part du sommelier.
L’ambiance est géniale, le service très attentif mais au même temps relaxé. Les prix sont en ligne avec le service offert.

The staff and ambiance are amazing. However, the food is overpriced and I got very sick the night after eating here (we think a bad oyster). So I would not recommend to go here.

As someone dining alone it was a great experience, very friendly staff, loved how everyone was greeted and sent on their way by everyone working there and the patrons. Also, my table wasn't ready when I arrived so I was escorted next door for a drink and then collected when it was ready. And the food was amazing. I will definitely be back x

Rien à redire sur l'accueil chaleureux, joyeux, et attentif tout au long du dîner. Une cuisine originale, de qualité et délicieuse. Les assiettes sont belles à voir. Chaque plat proposé nous a bien été expliqué et c'est très agréable. Les bougies donnent une atmosphère très chouette. Playlist hyper sympa. Mais: salle très petite et très brutante entre les fourneaux qui s'activent juste sous nos yeux, et la musique tres forte donc difficile d'avoir une conversation sans hausser la voix.. et on repart avec les odeurs des cuissons sur nous ce qui n'est pas hyper agréable. Cependant, je recommande car les assiettes sont audacieuses et l'énergie en salle est contagieuse

Our experience was globally disappointing. The place has little aeration, and one week later my coat still smells like grease. The music was so loud that we could hardly talk, and I had tinnitus afterward. The food was acceptable, but not very original nor particularly well executed, it was definitely not worth the price for a restaurant in Paris.

Had dinner with my girlfriend and had an amazing time! Small and cozy restaurant with excellent service and expertly explanations about the food and wine. The price is on the higher side but totally worth it. I’m definitely coming back again!

Quite tiny and claustrophobic place. Prices are not matching with the quality of the food .Expensive wine selection. The smoke coming from the open kitchen invades the room, even made it hard to breathe inside. Every time a client goes out , kitchen team is obliged to cry out all together: “goodbye” , so ridiculous to see this show, as the servers and the open kitchen are not believing in what they do. Expérience exécrable. Nous avons demandé à la serveuse de baisser légèrement la musique car il nous était impossible de s’entendre avec un tel volume. A cela , elle nous indique de façon antipathique que cela était impossible. Nous avons décidé de partir en réglant les boissons que nous avions commandées. Dès notre départ, j’ai été directement débitée de 90€ pour « non-présence » à la réservation. Je suis donc retournée sur place pour demander un remboursement: le manager s’est montré d’une mauvaise foi et d’une arrogance insupportables. Par ailleurs, la place que nous avions était déjà occupée par de nouveaux clients. Une telle attitude atteste d’un snobisme et d’un manque de professionnalisme: c’est ok qu’un restaurant veuille proposer sa propre atmosphère, mais il devrait respecter le fait qu’un client, qui s’est rendu sur place, n’y adhère pas et ne soit pas débité pour autant. Un restaurant superficiel hipster éphémère.
