We have been dining at Café de la Paix over the years each time we were in Paris. Always an amazing experience, great food in a relaxed and elegant environment. Last night we returned after several years and it has been a big disappointment. Food was average, service slow (clearly understaffed), we waited to order the dessert for at least 20 minutes and decided to pay and leave, busy and noisy. The table was set without a tablecloth (we were told they decided not to use it any more to reduce costs!). I will not mention the price we paid for the experience as it comes with the establishment. Last night they just have lost a client. Need to return to their roots and not just try to exploit their name with the affluent tourists.

Very good food. The millefeuille is excellent. It is the first time I try Snail, but the taste is quite good. Good service.

Voilà un petit message pour décrire ce lieu où je n’avais pas été depuis longtemps. Mise à part le fait que nous avons mangé un repas qui n’était pas très copieux et d’une simplicité totale. Le prix totalement exubérant de cet endroit ne donne pas envie de retourner Dans cet endroit, mais je mettrai une alerte spéciale aux Américains. Faites très attention à l’addition car il y a une case TIPE c’est-à-dire pourboire surtout ne jamais donner de pourboire. Il est déjà inclus dans un prix extravagant. Imaginez que le café est à sept euros, c’est-à-dire pour remettre une perspective aux choses, car il faut faire le café était à sept euros, c’est-à-dire 46,20 Fr.
il y a un moment où il faut arrêter de se foutre de la gueule du monde. Nous avons donc mangé pour 148,01 €, repas d’une simplicité absolue, sans avoir pris la moindre goutte de vin. Ce qui aurait été encore pire. Que pire Donc le repas pour deux personnes en francs aurait été de 976 Fr. pour un repas de midi
be well my dear American friends absolutely no cheap in France. There is no way you can put on the top of this outrageous bill 20% like we do in USA just don’t do it because it’s a rip off the place is nice, but the food is average and the bill is outrageous
