HÔTEL COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT PARIS DEFENSE WEST ^{* * * *}

Está lejos de Paris pero es un hotel estilo americano, cuartos amplios, limpios y gran servicio. Estás a un Uber de 30 min del centro de Paris. Sí lo recomiendo.

Good hotel and perfect for a short stay in Paris. Location is a bit far from center so if you are moving out early and returning late it works the best. Or else commute will take away all the time.

The location of the hotel needs to be understood - it is outside Central Paris and more. The hotel is a 4 stop Tram (T2) ride to/from La Défense. Once you get to La Défense, there are Metro (1) and RER trains that can get you to many parts of Paris pretty easily and quickly. There are actually malls there for shopping and food.||The Tram is a lot less reliable than the trains and can be crowded. One night the tram actually broke and we walked back to the hotel (40 minutes - Uber wanted EUR 12 but it was a nice night so we walked). Paris changed their transit transfer rules so the tram requires an additional fare. ||The immediate area is kind of quiet. There are a few restaurants nearby and a huge supermarket across the street. Further away from La Défense, there are 2 self-service laundries - the one that is farther is much nicer and takes credit card.||Front desk service is very good.||The hotel room is decently sized compared to those in the city. It even has rooms with real King size beds. The bathroom / toilet setup is a little strange and interesting. If you travel with someone you don't know well, it might be kind of an interesting experience.||The shower was a little narrow and water seemed to not drain fully because how the shower was leveled. I am not sure if it was just my room or what.||The room temperature is hard to regulate and the front desk said you really can't control it too much (i.e. deviate from the centrally set temperature).||My biggest problem with the hotel is the breakfast - 14 EUR for continental or 21 EUR for American. One day they ran out of ingredients for the omelette - they only had eggs and cheese but nothing else. We were there 5 days and the breakfast was never fully stocked - even 45+ minutes before the end of the service, something would always run low or run out. Breakfast was never busy.||I have not had croissants and pastries this bad at mid-level hotels for a long time all over the world. How can this be? Isn't this Paris?

Most condom, third class room service , not providing toothpaste kit at 10.30 pm , today. Not providing milk powder pouches at 10.30 pm today. Called at Reception by dialling 9 , Receptionist replied as Out of stock & Room service finished. Then how they claim service of 24 hours 7 days?

This hotel is a hidden gem with a little night time suspense (lol). Although a little ways (quick $25 uber ride) from all the attractions, we stayed here because this was the closet Marriott property that offered a 2 bedroom family suite.

Rooms - Although we booked a 2 bedroom suite, it was actually a king bed room adjoined to a 2 twin bed room. The rooms were very modern, very clean and smelled fresh. It was an instance breath of fresh air when we walked in the rooms. Each room had their toilet, so besides the extra room, the kids had their room and the adults had theirs.

Service - Overall, the service was okay. As Marriott Bonvoy Members we were provided with $ vouchers to use at the bar. When we provided the bar tender with the vouchers he applied each voucher to “a” drink and not the value of the voucher to our order (we were forfeiting any unused funds, that could’ve been applied another beverage). In addition, when we asked for a cup of ice, we were told we would need to bring our ice bucket from upstairs. Misunderstanding or just lazy? We asked earlier and the breakfast staff went into the kitchen and brought out a glass of ice for our kid.

Breakfast - It’s complimentary and offers something for everyone. They had various pastries, deli meats, breads, pancakes, bacon, potato cakes, eggs, tea, coffee, juices, fruit, etc. we did learn on our last day, they did have a custom omelet stand.

Lunch/Dinner - Although we did not eat dinner, they do open for lunch and dinner as menus are posted in the elevator.

Location - During the day, the outside seems okay, but nights when we came back in late, it was questionable outside at the corners. I did observe a night time security guard on site in the lobby when I went down to pick up an uber eats order.

The ride over to the main attraction areas ran us about 25 euro and took about 15-20 minute car ride.

Staff were very friendly and attentive.

They do have a bar and a market place with snacks and beverages for sale.

If we come back to France with kids, this will be our go to spot, as the prepay rate for a 2 bedroom was the cheapest in the city.
