This is a rating for the restaurant, simply amazing food. The starter we had (classic vegetables in a flower/cocoon) was fantastic. Followed by a very well cooked bavette and as a grand final a chocolate sphere and deconstructed tiramisu. All were simply delicious and amongst the best food we ate while here in corsica.

We stopped for lunch which was excellent. We also intended to go for a hike... using the restaurant as the starting point. I had reviewed area on google maps and the official french topographic maps IGN, and there are multiple footpaths that would have allowed for scenic walks. I'm a long distance walker and walked in many parts of europe and my home country Switzerland. I was however told accessing the paths was not allowed (even on foot) as it was private property of the restaurants family... When I walk, the only trace I leave behind are footsteps in the sand :-(
Over the years, Corsica and France becomes less and less welcoming destination to hikers sadly.
I asked why I could not use the paths... and the reason given: there are fields and animals such as cows.
In switzerland, we likely have many more cows in our mountains, yet every forest, private or public, are all legally accessible to hikers, and farmers provide gates that block cattle yet allow hikers to pass through their grazing areas.
Why Corsica ... why?
