We were looking for a unique place to finish our holiday in France and Château de Sacy did not disappoint. The location is stunning and the aspect from outside is wonderful in all directions, not least with the lights of Reims in the distance. The building itself is beautiful and the welcome from the staff is befitting of the location and building. The weather allowed us to eat outside, so we were pretty much right in the vineyard, only a few feet away from the vines. The views are wonderful across the vineyards wherever you look. The two musicians added to the relaxed and refined atmosphere, so we were able to enjoy our meal and not feel rushed. We had the tasting menu and the food was brilliant. The presentation was excellent and very inventive and creative - a fantastic experience. The service was very good and helpful when we needed it. The perfect way to end our holiday.

Staff were ok - generally friendly though reception was often empty
Food was terrible. Eat before you get there. Highlights were inedible amberjack with pickled radish and raspberry, steak with strawberry sauce and a lemon desert that was so sour I could not finish it. Generally I appreciate that what you get at hotels in the area is an attempt at fine cuisine rather than simple good food, but the flavours here simply were a misunderstood mess. I can’t believe it’s served to people - it’s almost like the chef has never let anyone try a dish. Hotel will be much better once they change the chef. The champagne I was served was also from an old open bottle and flat.
Would visit again for a quick stopover, but better to eat at a local restaurant.

Whilst the setting to this lovely Chateau is absolutely breathtaking, everything else was sadly disappointing and very much not a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. First, the young staff need proper training on how a hotel should be run. The service was abysmal - never before have I left a hotel where there were 5 staff merrily chatting away at the entrance but not a single one offered help with the 2 suitcases to a 30 m away car! The breakfasts were paltry, no fruit on display and when ordered from a menu it wasn’t fresh fruit- enough said, and the madeleines that I tasted were stale- acceptable maybe in a 3 star establishment but not a 5 star. All in all, staff need proper training and chef needs it as well. This is Champagne after all. No excuse for bad service or bad food
