Hier hat alles gepasst. Tolle Unterkunft und perfekter Ausgangsort, die Champagne kennen zu lernen. Waren von Avize aus Wandern (Rundkurs Oger-Cramant-Avize) und von Epernay aus Radfahren und waren froh, daß Recommande dazu als Basislager gefunden zu haben. Absolut empfehlenswert.

The "Le Recommandé" is housed in a beautiful building, and you could turn it into a very nice bistro, but what a disappointment. Any potentially charming French atmosphere is ruined by the heavy metal music blasting from a speaker, and the food consists of canned meals warmed up in a microwave. The quality of the food is very poor. I had risotto, and it smelled (and tasted) like cat food. The menu offers tapas, but they're not tapas or other small bites as tapas are meant to be.
A plus point is the extensive champagne menu featuring only local champagnes and the friendly service.
All in all, it's a shame because it could make Avize a nice place, but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Our family of 5 had an absolutely wonderful stay! Everything is decorated well, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the kitchen is well stocked. The owner and staff are amazing hosts. The service downstairs was fabulous - all the drinks and food were enjoyed by us and our children. Thank you!!!!
De kaart is beperkt maar de gerechten zijn goed.
