We only stopped for one night en-route to Switzerland, but would definitely recommend La Maison de Reina. ||It's a beautiful house and our room was very comfortable with air con (it was ridiculously hot weather when we stayed) and an ensuite shower room. Situated on a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the historic centre of town and an extensive choice of restaurants and eateries, there's a public car park in the next road and plenty of on street parking overnight. Breakfast was not included in the price but we were offered on arrival and for less than £6 each was excellent value and really good too!! ||Troyes is about 4hrs drive from the Eurotunnel, Calais, and off we're heading south through France, will definitely book La Maison de Reina again.

We had booked a large room. When we arrived at the hotel, we realised that although the room was lovely it didn’t have a shower. So we asked to change rooms. We were given a far less impressive room on the top floor - but it had a shower. So was better for us. The room was a little tired - but it was fine.||So I would say if you prefer a shower make sure you specify when booking.||The breakfast was not very good at all. The dinning room was cramped which made conversation difficult - maybe some music may have helped. |I don’t understand why there were such large carafes of orange juice on each table. It seems very wasteful - we didn’t touch ours and I noticed people leaving tables with only a little taken out. Maybe a jug on the buffet for people to just take what they want. Equally a jug or bottle of water on the side table? ||We wouldn’t stay again - but it was really good for the price and the location is very good. It is in a quiet street but close to the town centre.
