Lovely day out here. Castle is magnificent, the histopad was worthwhile and there are plenty of food and drink outlets. We found a pleasant spot underside trees to relax in the hot afternoon. Don’t bother hiring the bicycles - cheap and cheerful models, uncomfortable and not well set up.

One word describes this Chateau “ spectacular “ its size and detail are absolutely stunning, there are beautiful gardens and the entry fee into the Chateau is well worth it, we stayed here in our motorhome for €12 there were toilets available, the site has many bars and restaurants offering a great selection of food, we tried the wine tasting and bought reasonably priced bottles, you can hire bicycles and electric golf buggies to get you around this enormous estate
