The information provided was detailed and helpful, both paper copy and digital. They also provide an App from which you can view the route and all other information whilst on the bike. The app by and large was very helpful, it occasionally needed resetting.
The bikes were in excellent condition. They are heavier than our normal bikes so did need to be on a generally lower gear setting especially on inclines! The route is largely not challenging, bit with a few inclines from time to time.
The route is beautiful, a mix of cycling alongside the Loire, through countryside and woods, with pretty villages/towns and stunning chateaux. France does "cycle friendly" so well, most of the route is on cycle paths or quiet lanes.
Hotels were good, with a good breakfast, and close to the centre which is helpful after a day in the saddle! We chose the middle, superior, option. The hotels in Orléans and Amboise were lovely, albeit with very small rooms/bathrooms. We loved the hotel in Beaugency, L'Ecu de Bretagne, old, spacious, very characterful, with an outdoor pool.
An amazing experience, can't wait to do another tour.
