The Museum of Natural History is larger than it appears (from the outside) and can easily take an hour or two to peruse the 3 floors. The first floor had a lot of interactive science exhibits, letting you play the role a researcher with a lot of flora and fauna examples native to this region of France. The second floor houses a very nicely arranged and coordinated reptile and amphibian space with plenty of live specimens of snakes, frogs, geckos, etc. as well as several insect species. We made a game of finding all of the various specimens in each of the cases which can really take some time & sharp eyes. The third floor house a collection of taxidermy specimens of, mostly, large mammals. Again, well laid out and a pleasant space.
The staff were very friendly and we appreciated the clean restrooms and convenient water fountain.
