We had a wonderful stay at Château de Perreux. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, with beautifully manicured grounds and walking trails that wind through the trees. Our room was incredibly spacious, and the service was warm and personable. We especially enjoyed exploring the underground caves and taking in the peaceful, scenic surroundings. A truly memorable experience!

This is an amazing location to have a chateau converted into a hotel; it's built into and onto the limestone cliffs! So it had is own climate control and a series of caves, storage areas and corridors as part of the hotel. The rooms are huge and very comfortable: great bed and pillows, good WiFi. The owner is onsite and a very engaging personality, full of the history and the future. There it's beautiful and interesting artwork all around and the public rooms have original panelling and plasterwork: great to see. Overall it is beautiful, peaceful and engaging.

There are beautiful grounds to explore with tracks and tunnels through the woods down to the river and a lovely looking modern swimming pool.

They don't have a restaurant ... yet ... they have great recommendations for places in Amboise. The hotel continental breakfast was delicious.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the hotel lacked food or beverage services after breakfast. Contrary to the website’s offer to “Stay for dinner”, there is no restaurant. The staff seemed didn’t volunteer much information about the area. The location was great and it was really cool to stay in a chateau, but the lack of services definitely detracted from the experience.

If you go into it with the expectation of staying in an old castle with all its charm, you’ll love it. Secluded, well maintained property, and friendly staff. However, the rooms are hot and if you open the windows for air, bugs come in. Could be cleaner (ex. cobwebs, hair in the tub).

Hotel que se diz 5 estrelas e não tinha amenities no banheiro, nem chinelo nos quartos. Pessoal gentil, porém despreparados, café da manhã fraquíssimo. Não tinha funcionários suficientes pra prestar serviços pros hóspedes, sem recepção 24 hs. Hotel deveria ser 3 estrelas.||A hotel that claims to be a 5-star hotel had no amenities in the bathroom or slippers in the rooms. The staff were friendly but unprepared, and the breakfast was very poor. There were not enough staff to provide services to guests, and there was no 24-hour reception. The hotel should have been a 3-star hotel.

The property is in a secluded location. It is a 10-15 min drive to Amboise. Very peaceful.

The host was very friendly and the room was comfortable. Its a chateau hotel, and had very nice history. The gardens were rustic, not very upkept, but more secluded and felt like nature which we liked.

Would recommend.

Mauvais château que j'ai vu dans ma vie...à fuiiiirrrrr.. il faut attendre 15 minutes pour avoir e petit déjeuner comme ..confiture se senti mauvais..pas d'organisation..la chambre est sale..je déconseille.

Everything about this chateaux was charming and comfortable. The host Oliveira was friendly and very helpful in recommending attractions to visit in the area including making dinner reservations to 2 very good restaurants in Amboise.

This is a great place to stay in the Loire valley, very near all the important castles, situated in a forest. The rooms are large and comfortable, the service excellent and friendly.

We stayed here in 2018 - the property is gorgeous. The rooms well appointed, immaculate and comfortable. The owner is very knowledgeable and gave great tips. I highly recommend this beautiful Loire area chateau!

Beautiful but secluded property. The entrance from the road which is very narrow requires a sharp swing to the right when driving.
The surrounding woodlands which has a river running it, are extensive. When night descends, the castle has a gothic atmosphere. We were given the turret room which was very spacious, nicely furnished and clean.
One downside is that in the afternoon or evening, the reception is closed. Sometimes, after a day of sightseeing, we return to a darkened castle, with absolutely nobody on the property. Even the lights are turned off. This is because there are barely any staff in this hotel. It is mostly manned by the owner himself. So when he is absent, there is no one else on the estate, which might pose a safety issue. It can get very eerie at times, but if you like being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, then this chateau hits the right notes. The breakfast provided at 18 euros was ample enough, with breads, ham, cheese, eggs and spreads. The owner himself is a nice and helpful person who obligingly answered my inquisitive questions and helped us make reservations for dinner.
All in all, I would recommend this chateau strongly for its beauty and authentic feel. I wish I could have stayed more nights.

Magnifica la tenuta, di grande charm, le camere arredate con gusto e una colazione molto piacevole. Si nota una cura per gli ospiti e un'attenzione per i dettagli. Grazie Olivier! What an incredible gem in the loire valley. If you want a very beautiful chateau experience this is the place to be. We went during their shoulder season (November) and it was quiet and lovely. Although there weren’t many amenities open during this time we were treated really well and the owner Olivier provided us with transport options and dining recommendations in the area. The staff were so so nice and accommodating. Olivier shared some stories about the chateau and answered the million of questions we had with enthusiasm. We were exposed to the teams absolute passion for the property. The interior is stunning with a perfect blend of original fixings and new design. The rooms itself was simple with gorgeous views all around. The bathrooms were modern and everything was very clean and well kept. What a wonderful chateau experience!

Mérite 0! Réservation effectuée sur le site du château, confirmée par mail à 19h50: « Votre réservation est confirmée ! Nous vous attendons du mardi 5 novembre 2024 au mercredi 6 novembre 2024 ». Nous arrivons le 5 novembre, Château fermé, les propriétaires sont partis en escapade sur Paris. On se retrouve à la rue avec un enfant de 12 mois et une voiture électrique déchargée. Il est vrai que j’aurais du passer la nuit à rafraîchir ma boîte mail la veille pour lire votre annulation envoyée à 22h. Aucun coup de fil à vos clients pour vérifier qu’ils ont reçu le message! Vous êtes des amateurs. Cordialement

As an American who was travelling to France for the first time, i was amazed at the beauty of this place and the nearby town of Amboise. The chatteau is like no place i have ever stayed before! I think the chatteau only has maybe 15 rooms or so, which allowed for quality customer service and a quiet environment. We rented a car, which i think was necessary to see the area. But for the one day we did not have a rental, the owner made arrangements for our transportation back to the chatteau. You cant find that type of customer service at a big hotel chain.

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits et avons adoré cet endroit ! Le service était excellent - nous sommes arrivés à temps pour un dîner tardif et le jeune homme de l'hôtel a pu nous obtenir une réservation dans un excellent restaurant. Le propriétaire était sur place chaque jour, très serviable et sympathique. Hôtel et cadre magnifiques. Nous nous sommes promenés sur les sentiers du domaine. Petit déjeuner - la nourriture et le service étaient exceptionnels chaque matin. La ville d'Amboise est proche en voiture. Amboise était une ville charmante avec beaucoup de choses à faire pour quelques jours.
