LA CLOSERIE SAINT JACQUES

Park your car for free in the car park about 50 metres from the house. Ring the entry bell and wait for the owner to open the slightly battered wood door and then step into the 18th century.||This was one of the most enjoyable stays we have had in France (and we've stayed in lots of places over the years). This rambling house is decorated with wonderful paintings, antiques and lots of books. The creaking staircase leads to the rooms and ours was very large including a main bedroom, a lounge area (with another small canopied bed), a separate modern shower and a toilet. Everything was in great condition and beautifully decorated. The large double bed was comfortable although the pillows were rather large and hard for our liking (but we sorted something out so not really a problem).||Breakfast (included in the price) was wonderful. Fresh bread, brioche, pancakes, home made jams, yogurts, fresh orange juice, tea, coffee etc. and on Sunday a lovely rhubarb pie which the owner had just made from fruit he had bought at the Saturday market (Loche has a superb Saturday market).||The owner is friendly and very attentive and is happy to give advice on where to go and what to see. A few days before we arrived he emailed my wife to say that our stay included May 1st which is Labour Day in France and that he would advise booking restaurants for the two days we would be in Loches. He offered us some suggestions and made reservations. A kind and thoughtful gesture.||We can't wait to go again sometime.

Excellent séjour à La Closerie, la décoration est remarquable et soignée. L'accueil est très chaleureux avec un hôte remarquable, très disponible et prodiguant nombre de conseils pour profiter de la région. Le petit-déjeuner est également copieux réalisé avec des produits de qualité. Nous ne pouvons que recommander très fortement La Closerie !

We are so privileged to have stayed at this bed and breakfast. Our hosts were charming and very conscientious. The room was not something I would normally go for but it was very French and exceptionally clean. It was raining, umbrellas were provided. A breakfast discussion regarding local activities and a brochure was provided. The arrival was very welcoming and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was simply warming with bread, jams, juices, teas, yoghurt and fruits!

Un endroit excentrique où l'on prend grand soin de vous et où l'on vous nourrit comme des rois. L'endroit est très bien situé dans une super petite ville. Nous aimons Loches et nous aimons Jean Lucs.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à La Closerie Saint-Jacques. L'accueil y est chaleureux, le petit-dejeuner délicieux en plus d'être copieux, et la décoration des chambres/appartements est absolument exceptionnelle.
