CAMPING L'ARADA PARC

C'est la deuxième années que nous venons et nous ne sommes pas déçu. Tout est fait pour passer de bonne vacances piscine , restaurant activités pour les enfants.

Très calme avec des équipements adaptés aux jeunes enfants. Piscines très bien chauffées.
Manque un peu d'ombre en mobil-homes et sur les aires de jeux.
Accueil très aimable

We spent 8 days at L'Arada Parc chosen at random after spending 4 very warm weeks in the Dordogne so that we could wind down in a cooler and perhaps quieter environment.
The pitches are a very reasonably sized and the choices given to us allowed us to choose a pitch with a mixture of sun and shade throughout the day with the caravan in permanent shade and coolness. The hedges between the pitches were in good condition but I should add that most of the pitches are on a slight incline which may trouble some. The trees were well maintained.
Noise at night was not aproblem as most people were quiet at around 11pm. Only on one occasion were we woken by the sound of very load motorcycles returning at 1pm and driving through the site. I believe that this may have been due to the fact that one of the groups machines had broken down that evening thus delaying their earlier return. Narrowing the width of the late night pedstrian entrance should prevent motorcycles being driven through after 11pm.
Apart from fast food (Pizzas, burgers, chips etc) the restaurant provides a choice of 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts each night although this fact is not mentioned on their website or pamphlet.
The reception and shop were very adeqate and friendly althougha failure to supply my favourite 'Pain au raisin' in the morning was disappointing.
The only criticism I could level at the services was the lack of a soap dispenser in the toilet areas.
I should add here that on one particlar day there was an aweful stench for a 24hour period due we believe to a local farmer spraying fertilizer. Not in the control of the campsite staff.
A very enjoyable stay to be recommended.
