We stayed in the Coach House self catering for 2 weeks at the end of September. The location, the accommodation and the facilities of the Château de Détilly are just excellent. Most of all, the hosts are so generous - of their time, knowledge, and even homegrown produce!
If the Château isn't perfect enough, Ramsès the Irish Wolfhound is beyond words - we just adore him.
Thank you so much to Pierre and Grahame. We truly had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.

Pierre and Graham, and not forgetting Ramses - the giant and playful Wolfhound were exceptional host . Beautifully restored Chateau with lovely gardens to stroll in . With only Four rooms in the Chateau , this was a uniquely special experience. Our Balcony Room was very spacious , comfortable and immaculately furnished .
We were well prepared every morning for exploring the historic town of Chinon with a delightful breakfast prepared by Pierre featuring Grahams homemade jams made with fruit from the garden.
Wholeheartedly recommend this charming place.

Grahame and Pierre looked after us like royalty at this idyllic, spacious and fun castle along with the charismatic gentle giant Ramses, the dog. There were luxurious touches at every turn from fresh roses from the rose garden in the gloriously spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, to little buds at the breakfast table to accompany the sumptuous and perfectly prepared breakfasts of totally fresh local delicacies. This place really is a little slice of heaven- quiet, glorious pool (with inflatables for kids), good restaurants and access to chateaux nearby and for us just 30 mins from Centerparcs should you want a different gear to some part of the holiday. Grahame and Pierre find the absolutely perfect balance of looking after you and making you feel utterly welcome to relax and make best use of all the facilities. Just a perfect little bit of luxury and indulgence at this rural retreat.
