Connaissant le Choiseul depuis de nombreuses années (26 visites).... donc c'est un endroit super pour le calme et son emplacement avec vue (Loire ou chateau) chambres vastes, propres, inconvénients les escaliers ... mais on s'y habitue, autrement la table est très correcte, traditionnelle, vous pouvez y aller et vous faire une idée perso, belle découverte.

Nous venons de séjourner au Choiseul. Le service était impeccable. La chambre était très confortable, meublé avec goût style 18e siècle.
Il y a un agréable jardin. Nous avions une vue superbe sur la Loire. Nous y retournerons l'été pour profiter de la piscine

4 star hotel, 2 star rooms, 2 star service
Be very careful about the rooms you choose in this hotel. We had the garden room for 3 people with two rooms and a bathroom. Sadly this room with its threadbare carpet, damp stains on the wallpaper, scratchy sheets and lumpy pillows, intermittent wifi available only in one small corner of the back room, hand held shower over the bath, no air conditioning (contrary to our booking confirmation) and very strong mould smell was uninhabitable and we had to move hotels (with no refund because it took us two nights to find a suitable hotel in peak season). The service from the outset was non-existent with no assistance for our bags or care about the standard of our room. We did receive fans but these did not clear the air nor cool the room. This hotel is rated 4 star because it has a pool, a bar and a restaurant but many of the rooms are most certainly no more than 2 star. Although it is in an excellent location adjacent to the Chateau d’Amboise we would certainly not recommend this hotel. There are several others in Amboise that would be infinitely better. We moved to Chateau de Tortinière where the service is superb and the rooms beautifully presented. We are breathing again.
