One of the best places we have ever stayed. The setting was lovely and our room was spacious and very comfortable. But the highlight of our stay was our hosts, Rob and Aude. They went out of their way to make us feel at home! If you are visiting Amboise you should definitely stay here!!!!

Rob (English) and Auld (French) were outstanding hosts and gave that wow factor by arranging their classic car owning friends to meet us, and to put us in contact with Daniel Gatay for a memorable wine tasting on the premises. The Manoir is a lovely place and located within a 25 minute walk of the delightful history bars and restaurants of Amboise old town. One of our best classic car travelling experience’s with friends.

We weren't quite sure what to expect - we knew it was wonderful, but the reality exceeded our expectations. The hosts, Rob and Aude, were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It is a peaceful and tranquil location, yet very near the centre of Amboise. The house is set on a huge plot of land with hundreds of trees, including several huge sequoias. There are birds everywhere and every day we heard a cuckoo. On our last day a hot air balloon passed really low overhead and appeared to land in the next property. Our room was delightful, well furnished and with a very comfortable bed. There is also a communal kitchen area with seating and a fridge where you can socialise and prepare a simple meal. There is also seating and tables outside in the courtyard. Breakfast was a simple affair of bread, pastries and fruit, with tea, coffee and fruit juice, served in an airy and spacious room with windows all around. Add to this two llamas, two horses, four cats and two dogs and it is a rural haven. If you want to stay in a beautiful home this is for you.

Rob and Aud were excellent hosts and made our stay here very comfortable and enjoyable.
The grounds, courtyard and rooms were gorgeous and we had a delicious breakfast too!
A lovely couple.
Very knowledgeable and helpful re local areas of interest, restaurants etc.
Thanks for the recommendations!

Un luogo fantastico, a pochi minuti dal centro di Amboise ma totalmente immerso nel verde. I proprietari sono degli ospiti perfetti, accoglienti e simpatici. Se volete visitare i castelli della zona dovete assolutamente soggiornare presso il Manoir de la Maison Blanche!
