La Dilecta is an unexpected garden-front surprise in the center of Amboise. Andrea and Barbara have a lovely escape that is perfect for exploring the Loire and its chateaux. Our room was bright and spacious with an updated bathroom that included a large shower. Start the day with fresh coffee, tea, hot chocolate or juice. Barbara prepares a delicious breakfast with homemade jams, breads and breakfast pastries. Andrea shares the origin details on the cheese selections of the morning. Local fruits, yogurt and granola round out the morning meal. What a treat to enjoy all of this al fresco on the sunny mornings! There is access to a fully equipped kitchen which makes it easy to enjoy a private aperitif or glass of wine in the afternoon. What a fantastic spot!

La Dilecta was one of the most memorable stays during our time in France. Despite only being able to stay one evening, we were made to feel right at home. Barbara is so kind, friendly and accommodating, and has curated a beautiful and peaceful oasis. We stayed in the loft and had the best sleep of our trip! The area is quiet, there is parking right outside on the street, and we enjoyed spending time in the morning in her gorgeous garden with her sweet cat, Romeo. Breakfast also came with our reservation, which was outstanding. Items were local and organic, including a fabulous local yogurt with granola, local apple juice, fresh bread and local cheeses, fruit, and homemade brioche bread. We loved our stay so much at La Dilecta we regretted not extending our time in Amboise and look forward to returning!

A Amboise nous avons séjourné dans un merveilleux Bed & Breakfast, la Dilecta, tenu par une italienne absolument charmante, très cultivée et surtout attachante. Elle nous servait un délicieux petit-déjeuner maison avec nappe blanche et argenterie. Elle connait bien la région et a pu nous prodiguer d’excellents conseils sur les visites culturelles. Avec mon fils Adrien nous sommes sentis comme accueillis dans la famille. Nous aurions volontiers rencontré son mari qui était en voyage. Sans aucun doute, le highlight de notre séjour dans la région! ||Ps: bon à savoir. il faut passer minimum deux nuits, j’ai donc réorganisé mon séjour car je tenais à pouvoir y séjourner… et je n’ai pas regretté!
