L'Epicerie was one restaurant recommended to us by local guides, and it did not disappoint. Located in a charming 14th century building at the base of the Chateau d'Amboise, definitely not a tourist trap. The owner is fabulous, her English was impeccable (she even suffered through my terrible French), and the rest of the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. The poisson that evening was roasted cod wrapped in bacon - amazing. Highly recommend the pistachio macaron for dessert; the creme brulee was delicious and likely will ruin any future creme brulee for me, but my husband got the macaron and I definitely had dessert envy.

Great restaurant, food is delicious, service was very attentive and friendly. Very helpful and approachable for non fluent French speakers- Will definitely be coming back to visit again. 5 stars!

Un grand merci à la patronne qui était aux petits soins pour notre bébé : chaise haute, table à langer disponible dans son second restaurant à côté. Cuisine avec des produits frais et à moindre coût. Belle terrasse pour profiter du soleil en buvant un petit rosé. On recommande !

Une cuisine excellente et un personnel aux petits soins, nous sommes venus avec notre fils de 10 mois et tout a été fait pour nous mettre à l’aise, le rapport qualité prix y est également imbattable, si vous recherchez un endroit où vous restaurez sur Amboise n’hésitez pas !
