Review of Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre
I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel is in an excellent location — close to the old town (Vieux Lille), major museums, shops, and plenty of restaurants. It’s also an easy walk from both main train stations, which makes it really convenient if you’re arriving by train.
The staff were definitely one of the highlights. Everyone at reception was friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with directions, restaurant tips, or anything else I needed. It really made the stay feel more personal.
The room itself was simple but comfortable. It had everything I needed: a good bed, clean bathroom, a kettle, and reliable Wi-Fi. The space is not very large and storage is limited, so it’s better suited for shorter stays or if you pack light.
Breakfast was included and had a decent selection — fresh bread, pastries, cheese, fruit, and some hot items. It’s not a huge spread, but it’s more than enough to start the day.
Another plus is the on-site parking. Although the parking garage is quite tight (be careful if you have a bigger car!), it’s secure and a big advantage in a city center.
If I had to point out any downsides, it would be the room size and a few small maintenance issues (like occasional temperature fluctuations in the shower), but nothing major that affected my stay.
Overall, Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre is a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located base in Lille. I would definitely recommend it for a city break or business trip.

Si vous arrivez trop tôt, et avant que la chambre ne soit libérée, les bagages peuvent être déposés dans un lieu sécurisé, avec un numéro de consigne.
Le personnel est très serviable et assure une présence 24h/24, ce qui est pratique pour rentrer à n'importe quelle heure, l'entrée du parking nécessite en effet de pouvoir joindre l'accueil par interphone.
L'entrée du parking est délicate et la rampe pour descendre au sous-sol est très exiguë. Le clavier permettant de taper un code pour sortir du parking n'est pas immédiatement visible et est situé en bas de la rampe, mais ce petit inconvénient reste mineur, il convient de bien se renseigner auprès de l'accueil avant la première sortie.
Les petits déjeuners sont corrects et les présentoirs régulièrement approvisionnés. Les machines à café sont très faciles à utiliser et offrent une grande variété de préparation de café.
Les chambres (à lit double ou deux lits simples) sont un peu étroites mais offrent une place suffisante pour pouvoir circuler et ouvrir de grosses valises. Par ailleurs, la literie est très confortable, le coin bureau est suffisant, le wifi fonctionne correctement et la chambre est très calme.
Het personeel was aardig.
Het ontbijt was lekker en goed.
Séjour parfait pour nous.
The hotel was clean, with comfy beds and a lovely breakfast.
It is situated pretty central to the city, with about a 10mins walk to the main squares.
The below ground parking worked well and was useful, not too busy, so we got a space.
The staff at breakfast were amazing, running around refilling the food.
My daughter is a Coeliac and Antoine was so helpful and kind, warming her fresh gluten free bread each morning!

We'd definitely stay in this hotel again when we return to Lille.
L’accueil est très agréable et le personnel sympathique. Quartier qui craint un peu mais centre ville à 5 minutes à pied.
Le service en chambre est à revoir. Aucune bouteille d’eau en chambre et aucun verre pour se servir au robinet. (Obligé de descendre 6 étage et se servir à la fontaine… un peu limite !!!)
Pas d’équipements (cotons etc) et idem à l’accueil on ne peut pas nous dépanner. Petit déjeuner entrée de gamme… on voit que les économies sont prioritaires. Dommage pour une fois enseigne comme la vôtre.
Ce sera mon dernier passage dans cet hôtel quand j’irai à Lille …

Le prix du parking est un peu chère
All of the staff were exceptional. They were kind, helpful and accommodating. In fact, I don't think I've ever encountered better hotel staff before. I would definitely stay here again.
