MOXY LILLE CITY ^{* * *}

Das Moxy-Hotel Lille ist ein 'hippes', nettes Hotel in ruhiger Lage und nicht allzu weit vom Stadtzentrum gelegen und verfügt über ein eigenes Parkhaus. Die Zimmer sind passend ausgestattet, das Frühstück ist 'ausbaufähig'. |Das Personal ist freundlich, spricht gut Englisch. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt.

Wat een mooi hotel. Leuk en interessant ingericht. Goede service en prima ontbijt.

Je n’ai pas été bien accueilli

The staff at this Moxy are awesome. Several of them went out of their way to help me arrange flowers for my partner. They were also warm and friendly when I spoke to them. Along with the funky decor (similar to all Moxy's), the buzzy atmosphere (it's mostly a younger crowd) and a good breakfast there's lots to like.

The building is architecturally imposing but as with all conversions it feels like there's some compromises. The rooms were very warm, especially given the temperature was around 18 or 19 degrees. The Aircon in my room was ineffective even turned right down temperature wise and right up in terms of fan speed.

The mattress was quite a lot softer than I'd like. And the shower door with its weird folding mechanism was a faff. However everything in the room worked and it was a decent size.

The gym is tiny and the bike didn't work. The heaviest weights are 14kg and there's not really a proper bench. I still used it a couple of times but not great if you want a proper workout.
