We stayed here one in early August while making our trip around the ring road. Staff was friendly at check-in and check-out. The triple room was one of the larger ones we stayed in on our trip. If you're comparing the bathroom to US hotel rooms, it's a bit on the small side. Only a shower, no tub. But for Iceland, it seemed perfectly fine. Again, even one of the larger showers from our multiple hotels.

Hotel Edda Plus (Zimmer mit Bad und WC) ist nur im Sommer ein Hotel, sonst Internat. Großes Zimmer, 2 Einzelbetten, gute Matratzen, Küchenzeile mit Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, Abwasch, 2 Schreibtischen, 6teiliger Kasten, Parkettboden, helle Möbel, Wasserkocher, Kaffee, Tee. Badezimmer mit Dusche und Glaswand. WLAN gratis. Hotel liegt neben botanischen Garten, 15-20 Gehminuten in die Stadt.

Zimmer sind ordentlich. Ein Fön wäre gut, kann aber an der Rezeption geborgt werden. Das Abendessen ist gut, das Frühstück ist ordentlich. Leider ist das Frühstück etwas chaotisch, weil das Buffet für die vielen Gäste zu wenig Platz hat.
The bar at the reception has seats inside and outside and it was always almost empty.
The breakfast is very good, buffet has wide choice but beware the hotel is big and at the start of the breakfast there is a queue for about 20 minutes. So you either come 10 min earlier or in 20 minutes.
Clean and spacious enough rooms. Some with basins, some - without.
I guess there are en-suite bathrooms as well, but we stayed in rooms with shared facilities done the corridor.
Different floors have different capacity and sometimes their is a queue.
Location is very convenient - about 10 minutes walk to the centre of the city.
Plenty of free parking on site.
