This is a hiddem gem. Possibly the most beautiful place in Cahuita directly at the Ocean, natural ocean pool, beauitiful plants and animals, two sloth, many iguanas. We quickly fell in love with our wonderful host Maria. One of the best places on our journey!

We wanted to stay at the camping place for two day but we quickly were completely in love with it and stayed for almost 4 weeks.
The place itself is amazing, directly at the ocean, very beautiful, has an amazing atmosphere and you have a good equipt kitchen!
We will remember Maria, the owner of the place, for ever and carry her in our hearts. She is such a amazing, friendly, helpful, open-hearted and funny person!
We defenitly will come back

You can easily feel like home at this camping. It's a beautiful location right at the sea, there is a kitchen with a fridge, chorreador, kettle, pots, whatever you need for cooking a meal and making a coffee. Maria is a lovely person and helpful host. Thank you for the great stay!

Decent facilities, and Maria herself is a pleasure, but stay away from ol Don, her husband, he's your classic cookie-cutter sketchy white expat. If you manage to avoid that guy, you'll have a wonderful time.
Say hi to Manchas for me.
update: a few years later and i up my stars from 2 to 4... good memories. Don just left such a bad taste in my mouth ????

Friendly owner. Clean restrooms, kitchen and (cold) showers. Not big rig friendly. Overall great campsite even though there are better ones in Costa Rica.

Excelente lugar si buscas un hospedaje de bajo costo, tiendas de campaña equipadas al 100%, no es un lugar de lujo, pero si limpio, cómodo y acogedor. Definitivamente volvería a este lugar, además está frente de Playa Negra y a 2km de las famosas piscinas naturales.

Lugar al frente de Playa Negra. Camping equipado con dos camas pequeñas, mesita pequeña y ventilador. Una tienda grande. Baños y cocina compartida y muy limpios.
Doña Sandra quien nos atendió muy atenta y amable. ©12000 por noche por pareja, ese fue el costo.
A 1.4 Km esta el PN Cahuita.

Camping Maria is a wonderful place to stay! Located directly on the sea, the morning coffee can be enjoyed especially well! Maria and her family are wonderful hosts. Very friendly and always on hand if you need anything. I have definitely gained a family there. I can only warmly recommend a stay!

Bonito lugar, faltan techos para camping, Maria tiene un trato deficiente con las personas ya que si uno hace un poco de ruido, la señora sale a gritar las reglas, a las 9pm ya está cerrado y todo apagado, nisiquiera se puede ir al baño después de esa hora ya que si se hace ruido se enoja. Nosotros somos ticos y ella trata mejor a los turistas de otros países ya que nos dijo que quitaremos nuestro carro y que nos durmieramos a las 8 para no hacerle ruido a unas visitantes que se iban a quedar en un camping en su carro. No se puede salir a disfrutar en bares o algún lugar en la noche ya que cierran la puerta a las 9 y no puedes salir ni entrar. En fin un lugar bonito pero no volví nunca más porque el anfitrión es muy incómodo con huéspedes.( si no quiere recibir visitas mejor no tener un camping, uno en vez de sentirse bienvenido se siente como un estorbo)
