这座雄伟的堡垒是十七世纪库塔德拉市内罕见的堡垒遗迹之一。虽然它的起源可以追溯到十四世纪，但在加泰罗尼亚-阿拉贡内阁（Couronne Catalano-aragonaise）成立之后，1558 年土耳其入侵之后，该城墙被大规模重建，并沿用了原来的痕迹。堡垒高耸于港口之上，为游客提供了眺望闪烁水光的绝佳视角。现在，这些古老的堡垒内部是一座市政厅。
